Is therapy for you?

Therapy is for anyone who feels it can help them. All sorts of people, from all walks of life and for all sorts of reasons decide to have some counselling to deal with all sorts of issues. So yes.

What is my therapeutic style

I am an integrative counsellor who uses a person-centred approach at the core of my practice. Integrative therapy is a stand-alone style of counselling which incorporates elements from a number of counselling philosophies including Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and person-centred. I use this integrative approach as it allows me to develop a counselling approach which is suited to the unique needs to you as an individual.

What can you expect after contacting me?

What happens next?

Please make initial contact in whichever way you prefer, either by email or by phone. After this first contact we will set up an informal first meeting. The reason for this meeting is just for us to see how we get on. There is no pressure at all to commit, this is just a chat for us to decide if we can work together. If we decide that we would like to go forward, we will set up a time that suits both our schedules. Then we can go forward! Good practice is to start with at least 6 sessions and then review what we have accomplished before deciding on how to proceed after that.
